Day 2

sleep No Comments »

My 6am nap went very well.  I fell asleep within maybe 5 minutes and woke up with the alarm.  I felt ok after I woke up.  Not extremely tired but not really awake either.  I didn’t do much during this time between the naps.  Nothing really seemed important enough to tackle.  I did make breakfast though.

I fell asleep almost instantly during my 10am nap.  But when I woke up, I reeeeeeeeally wanted to go back to sleep.  After a while, I was slowly able to adapt to this new level of tiredness and was able to accomplish a few things.  I decided to work on a blog post of something that happened last night.  I started around 11am but it took me until 4pm to finish it.  It usually doesn’t take that long for a post of pictures.

My 2pm, 6pm, 10pm, and 2am naps were great!  I always start these naps thinking that I’ll never fall asleep and my brain is racing too much.  Soon after, I’m waking up to a loud beeping noise.  I woke up a bit groggy after each of those naps but after a few minutes, I realize that I’m not letting myself go back to sleep and my body adjusts to the amount of sleep I currently have.

Day 1

sleep No Comments »

My first nap today was at 2pm since I didn’t wake up until after 10am.  It sucked.  I laid in bed for 25 minutes and didn’t get any sleep.  I thought a lot about what I need to do for the rest of the day and my mind continuously raced for the entire time.

I didn’t really expect to fall asleep since I just had a decent amount of sleep last night.  I expect this all to change soon.

My 6pm nap went about the same.  I’m not sure if I slept or not but I did get up feeling refreshed after 25 minutes of silent reflection.

I’m pretty sure I fell asleep during my 10pm nap but again I’m can’t say for sure.  Afterwards, I watched Descent and started watching The Crying Game until it was time for my 2am nap.

By the time my 2am nap rolled around, I was definitely ready to catch a few winks.  When I woke up 25 minutes later, I was amazed that I was definitely asleep.  I felt confusion for a few seconds but figured out what was going on soon enough.  I felt refreshed for a while but started yawning after about an hour.  I was able to sit through the rest of The Crying Game so I couldn’t have been that tired.

I did notice a slight headache today but I doubt that had anything to do with this.  I woke up this morning feeling pretty sluggish so I’m guessing the lack of sleep is what caused this.

I’m really looking forward to day 2.  I have a phone interview at 7pm and one of my great friend’s birthday is today so I figure I might have to go somewhere in a sleep-deprived state.

Polyphasic Sleep

sleep No Comments »

With all this time on my hands, I figured I’d try something I’ve been interested in since I first heard of it.

POLYPHASIC SLEEP!!!

I’ve read of a few people doing it successfully and I figure I should be able to add my name to the list.

I’m going to get my last full night of sleep tonight.  Tomorrow, I’ll be in full uberman sleep mode exactly like when Steve Pavlina did it.  I will post a daily log here of how it goes.  I’ll post about the rest of my life on my other blog which chronicles everything else.
